Everyday Garden Guide

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers make thoughtful choices about plants, growing spaces, garden care or garden style. Send proposals through the Contact page before preparing an article.

What makes a good pitch

Tell us the central question, the reader it serves and what the piece would help them understand or decide. We favour specific, evergreen subjects with a clear angle: a useful comparison, an explanation of a garden idea, a well-framed misconception or a guide to a particular gardening moment.

Keep it grounded

A strong proposal is accurate, original and candid about limits. Explain the basis for any claims, flag advice that varies with place or conditions, and avoid promises of guaranteed results. We are interested in clear writing that respects readers who are learning, not in jargon or product promotion.

How to propose an idea

Use the Contact page to send a short summary, proposed working title and a few lines about your approach. Please say whether the idea has been offered elsewhere. A proposal is not a request to write a full draft, and sending one does not guarantee publication.

Our point of view

A garden is made one choice at a time

A pot of herbs or a busy border can both be a garden. We look at the choices that help yours fit the space, time and interests you have.
